"value": "AV:A - The vulnerable path is in the WiFi WoWLAN/net-detect resume flow, where adjacent wireless activity can cause firmware scan-match notifications. It is not Internet-routable and requires WiFi radio proximity.\nAC:L - Once WoWLAN net-detect is active, causing matching scan results is straightforward for an adjacent attacker with a spoofed AP/beacon. There is no race or timing requirement in the kernel handler itself.\nPR:N - An adjacent wireless attacker does not need local credentials on the target to transmit frames that cause net-detect wake processing. Any local privilege needed to configure WoWLAN is a deployment prerequisite, not attacker privilege in the highest reasonable scenario.\nUI:N - WoWLAN/net-detect processing occurs autonomously while the system is suspended and during resume. The attacker does not need a victim to open a file or perform an application-level action.\nS:U - The bug affects the Linux kernel driver handling its own device/firmware notification data. It does not cross into another security authority such as a VM host boundary.\nC:H - The flaw is an out-of-bounds read from the firmware notification buffer into saved net-detect results and is not limited to only a few bytes. Under the required high-severity rule, this supports high confidentiality impact.\nI:N - The vulnerable operation is a read and bounded copy into an appropriately sized destination buffer. I found no out-of-bounds write or direct primitive for modifying kernel data.\nA:H - The copied unintended bytes are later interpreted as match/channel metadata and can drive invalid kernel accesses while reporting net-detect results. A malformed notification can therefore plausibly cause an oops or kernel crash."
