"value": "AV:L - The faulty memcpy is only reachable from the mt8365 AFE platform driver's probe path (`mt8365_afe_pcm_dev_probe` → `mt8365_dai_i2s_register`), which runs on the local system at boot or module load. There is no network, packet, or remote-peer input anywhere on the path.\nAC:L - The wrong length is a fixed compile-time constant, so the ~950-byte out-of-bounds read happens deterministically on every probe of the driver, with no race, timing window, or memory-layout condition involved.\nPR:L - The code path is exercised without any attacker action during normal device bring-up, so an unprivileged local user is exposed to it; deliberately re-triggering a probe (module load or sysfs bind/unbind) would in fact require more privilege, not less.\nUI:N - No victim action is needed — the defect triggers automatically when the audio driver probes at boot.\nS:U - The out-of-bounds read and its consequences are entirely within the kernel's own security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.\nC:H - The memcpy reads roughly 900+ bytes of adjacent kernel/module memory past the end of a 136-byte const global and copies it into a live driver allocation, which is far beyond a strictly bounded few-byte over-read and constitutes disclosure of kernel memory contents into an attacker-relevant kernel object (also dumped verbatim in the KASAN report).\nI:N - The destination buffer is allocated with the same oversized length, so the copy stays in bounds on the write side; no kernel memory is corrupted and no attacker-controlled data is written anywhere.\nA:H - Reading ~1 KB past the end of the module's `.rodata` object can run off the end of the module mapping and oops during probe, and on KASAN-enabled kernels the resulting BUG report panics the machine under `panic_on_warn`, taking the device down at boot."
