"value": "AV:N - The vulnerable code is the am65-cpsw RX NAPI path, entered solely by processing a received Ethernet frame, and the panic threshold (1704 bytes) is below the driver's supported max_mtu of 2002, so an ordinary routed IP datagram from a remote host triggers it on any port configured with an MTU above ~1690.\nAC:L - The attacker only needs to get a frame larger than 1704 bytes delivered to the interface; the hardware RX_MAXLEN is fixed at 2024 independent of the configured MTU, so even at the default MTU an oversized frame is accepted and DMA'd, and the resulting skb_put() overflow is deterministic with no race or memory-layout dependency.\nPR:N - The crash happens in am65_cpsw_nuss_rx_packets() before eth_type_trans() and any protocol or socket demultiplexing, so no credentials, sockets, or local access of any kind are required — a broadcast or unicast frame to the port's MAC suffices.\nUI:N - Packet reception and NAPI polling are entirely automatic; no action by any local or remote user is needed once the interface is up.\nS:U - The BUG() and resulting panic occur in the kernel of the receiving host, affecting only resources managed by that same security authority with no crossing of a VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary.\nC:N - skb->end is understated rather than overstated, so no out-of-bounds read occurs — skb_put()'s bounds check fires before any data past the allocation is touched, and packets at or below 1704 bytes end exactly at the skb_shared_info boundary with no overlap.\nI:N - There is no out-of-bounds write: skb_shared_info and the entire DMA buffer stay within the order-0 page, the page is never in the DMA ring while a live skb references it, and the oversize case aborts at the skb_put() check rather than corrupting adjacent memory.\nA:H - Any frame exceeding 1704 bytes drives skb_put() past skb->end into skb_over_panic() -> BUG() from softirq context, which on arm64 becomes \"Fatal exception in interrupt\" and panics the machine; it is remotely and repeatably triggerable."
