"value": "AV:L - The vulnerability is triggered by a local `read()`/`write()` syscall on a sysfs attribute under `/sys/class/infiniband/<dev>/hw_counters/`, after the attacker places itself in a non-initial network namespace. No network input reaches the vulnerable code.\nAC:L - The trigger is fully deterministic and requires no race: create a netns, mount sysfs, read the counter file (the commit message documents the exact three-command reproducer). `ib_devices_shared_netns` defaults to true, so no unusual configuration is needed.\nPR:L - An unprivileged local user can reach it via `unshare -Urnm` plus a sysfs mount, since sysfs is `FS_USERNS_MOUNT` and only requires `ns_capable(net->user_ns, CAP_SYS_ADMIN)`; the counter files are world-readable (0444), so any process inside an ordinary container also qualifies. It is not PR:N because a local account/container foothold is required.\nUI:N - The attacker performs every step itself — namespace creation, sysfs mount and file read — with no action by any other user or administrator.\nS:U - The type confusion corrupts kernel memory within the same kernel security authority; no hypervisor, IOMMU or other trust boundary is crossed, matching standard kernel privilege-escalation scoring.\nC:H - The bogus `container_of()` makes the kernel read `hw_stats_data` from uninitialized/adjacent slab memory that heap grooming can control, after which `print_hw_stat()` returns `stats->value[index]` — an attacker-influenced pointer plus index — to userspace through `sysfs_emit()`, yielding arbitrary kernel memory disclosure.\nI:H - The fabricated `ib_device` pointer produces a wild-pointer write via `mutex_lock(&stats->lock)` and via `set_stats_lifespan()` on the writable `lifespan` attribute, and `update_hw_stats()` performs an indirect call through `dev->ops.get_hw_stats` read from fully out-of-bounds memory, giving a control-flow hijack primitive.\nA:H - The reported and reproducible outcome is an immediate kernel NULL pointer dereference oops/panic in `hw_stat_device_show()`, which any unprivileged user or container process can trigger on demand with a single `cat`."
