There is no network or adjacent-network path into the amdgpu display commit code.\nAC:L - The attacker fully controls the atomic commit and can deterministically attach primary + two overlay planes plus a cursor in overlay mode on any DCN30+ ASIC (`max_slave_planes = 2`), which covers the bulk of modern AMD APUs/GPUs. No race or unpredictable memory layout is needed — the original report shows it firing during ordinary compositor operation.\nPR:L - Only an unprivileged local user with a graphical session is needed: DRM master on the card node (the console/seat user or any process in the `video` group when no master exists) suffices, with no CAP_SYS_ADMIN or root check anywhere on the path.\nUI:N - The attacker issues the atomic commit directly from its own process; no action by another user or victim is required.\nS:U - The corruption is confined to kernel memory of the same host security authority — kernel stack frames and the amdgpu update bundle — with no crossing of a VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary.\nC:H - `flip_addrs[3]` overwrites `stream_update`, after which `copy_stream_update_to_stream()` dereferences those bytes as pointers (`stream->x = *update->ptr`), yielding a read primitive from a partially attacker-influenced address whose result is copied into stream state. Combined with the out-of-bounds writes, this is leverageable for kernel memory disclosure.\nI:H - Writing element index 3 into 3-element arrays produces both a kernel stack out-of-bounds write in `populate_fast_updates()`/`update_planes_and_stream_state()` (kernel heap pointers written 64 bytes past the array) and heap object corruption in the commit bundle. Out-of-bounds writes of pointer-sized attacker-influenced data are exploitable for control-flow hijacking.\nA:H - The bug is confirmed to produce a kernel oops — an unhandled supervisor page fault in `copy_stream_update_to_stream()` from the `commit_work` workqueue — killing the display pipeline and taking down the system."
